For our discovery group, a group of us travelled over the the Blue Springs in Putaruru. It was gorgeous, the water looked amazing, such a busy beautiful place.
We spent the morning in the kitchen prepping veges from our wilrose garden and then cooking a hangi pot kai to enjoy at lunch time. oh my gosh it smelt so good and tasted even better!
Today I went down the Merivale community hub to drop off a box of clothes. I saw an old teacher from girls college. It was cool to check out all the things they do at the hub.
Straight back into 2026 I started by helping my friends out in the garden with project Papatuanuku. The garden has grown so much while we were on holiday so I helped to tidy up and put soil in these Tyre planters to plant some seeds for the new season.
I had a good day out at Te Puna Quarry. We collected some manuka seeds, checked out some monarch butterflys, the view and sculputures. At lunch time we did a trivia quiz and cooled down in the shade.
This week I painted another tissue boxes. This time it was green. Next year I will help to cut flower pictures out and stick them on and finish it with a coat of sealer. It's going to look awesome.
