Crimson's Blog

  Kia Ora, Crimson here, and I have been busy this month, oh my gosh! I’ve been arty crafty doing some card making and we finished our gorgeous butterfly mosaic which is now hanging in our sensory room looking awesome. I’ve done heaps of waiata and we had friends from Greerton come join too. We had a practice of our Ising performance and then the real thing, which was super fun and a really great morning. I nailed my songs! In Discovery we’ve done heaps like clearing the front garden, sorting the worm farm, shopped for centre supplies, growing mushrooms and kowhai seeds. I went to the Event cinema in downtown Tauranga where I watched the new Micheal Jackson movie with my friends. I loved it! We also  had some super cute dogs, little cavoodles. They came and visited the centre. Their names were Benji and Hazel and they were soft and super friendly dogs Well another month done and dusted. Crimson

  Kia Ora, Crimson here, I’ve been away for the past 2 weeks due to the passing of my Nan. But while I was here this month, we were busy in Project Pupatuanuku growing oyster mushrooms in a large plastic container at the centre,sorting the kowhai seeds and processing and packaging them in to packs to sell, attending Bay Active at Greerton Hall and exploring I’Anson Reserve out at Te Puna, enjoying what Tauranga Moana has to offer us. Back at the centre in Waiata and Kapa Haka we have been busy practising songs for our upcoming ISing performance. And to keep fit and healthy I also attended Blaze Gym up at Gate Pa for a good work out!   Well that’s it from me, Ka Kite, see ya next month!

 In Project Papatuanuku we learnt how to grow oyster mushrooms. We watched a video, set up our 2 bags and sprayed them with water and now we water, watch and wait for a few weeks for our mushrooms to grow and then we can eat them!

 I enjoyed an outing out to get some awesome new art resources I choose myself. I've already started on some amazing artwork with them!

 Kia Ora, I'm back from stending time with my Whanau and I had great fun playing basketball and touch rugby with my friends

 For our discovery group, a group of us travelled over the the Blue Springs in Putaruru. It was gorgeous, the water looked amazing, such a busy beautiful place.

 We spent the morning in the kitchen prepping veges from our wilrose garden and then cooking a hangi pot kai to enjoy at lunch time. oh my gosh it smelt so good and tasted even better!

 Today I went down the Merivale community hub to drop off a box of clothes. I saw an old teacher from girls college. It was cool to check out all the things they do at the hub. 

 Straight back into 2026 I started by helping my friends out in the garden with project Papatuanuku. The garden has grown so much while we were on holiday so I helped to tidy up and put soil in these Tyre planters to plant some seeds for the new season. 

 I had a good day out at Te Puna Quarry. We collected some manuka seeds, checked out some monarch butterflys, the view and sculputures. At lunch time we did a trivia quiz and cooled down in the shade. 

 This week I painted another tissue boxes. This time it was green. Next year I will help to cut flower pictures out and stick them on and finish it with a coat of sealer. It's going to look awesome. 

  I had heaps of fun at the Circability event, they had a dj and giveaways, it was so cool!

 I had fun learning a new dice game with friends this week. We had to create shapes with the dice to match the cards. 

 I had such a laugh with friends going to Sonic Cinema to see the movie how to train your dragon live version. It was a bonus to have a snack while I watched along! 

I had a great time hanging out with friends at Anzac Park. It was beautiful wether so we had a kick around with the ball & swing at the park.  

Today I explored the Gully near Tauranga Girls College, It was fun checking out a new walkway with my friends.  

 I worked really hard on some pictures for my design book in just painting. I love painting and bing creative!

 We went out in the community and collected rubbish to help out and make the park look nice.
